Special visitors are coming to Wichita Monday. Boeing's new CEO Kelly Ortberg will be hosted by U.S. Senator Jerry Moran. Boeing is reacquiring Spirit AeroSystems for $8.3 billion dollars. Senator Moran tells KNSS News Boeing Chairman of the Board Steve Mollenkopf is also invited to be here. Moran says "Wichita needs to see what your plans are for Wichita and Kansas."
The executives will talk with Spirit employees and community leaders. Moran he hopes to "make some friends" but most of all he wants to see how Boeing is going to treat Boeing employees and the people of Wichita.
Sprirt is Wichita's largest employer.
