
After a hot start, South Carolina's 2nd half struggles dashed their hopes of an upset at #1 Georgia. South Carolina struck 1st on a Spencer Rattler TD pass to cap off a drive of over 5 minutes.
The Gamecocks led 7-3 after the 1st quarter and scored after a Georgia missed field goal last in the 1st half, to lead 14-3 at the half.
It was all Georgia after the break, as the Bulldogs outscored SC 21-0 in the 2nd half to win 24-14. Georgia's defense forced a turnover on downs and picked off two Rattler passes in the 4th to preserve the win.
Georgia owned the run game outgaining South Carolina 189-53 on the ground. South Carolina is now 1-2, they are back in action Saturday night hosting Mississippi State.
