The Cleveland Cavaliers has been a surprise early on in the season, winning the first three games of the season, but the team suffered a tough loss, losing star forward Kevin Love to a calf strain.
Love, 32, left Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers in the second quarter after he reaggravated his calf strain that held him out of the preseason. He had four points, three rebounds and two assists in nine minutes before exiting the game.
Further examination and an MRI administered on Monday at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health confirmed the injury. Love will undergo a series of treatment and rehabilitation and will be reassessed in approximately three to four weeks.
Love averaged 17.6 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game in 55 games during the 2019-20 season.
