A late season swoon and a history house of horrors were a combination Clemson couldn't over come on Saturday. The Tigers allowed the most points in a single game this season, as they were handled by North Carolina 91-71. It's the 3rd straight ACC loss for Clemson after a historic and program best 10-1 start in league play.

Clemson struggled defensively to contain North Carolina, the Heels shot 48% from the floor, 45% from three point range and were plus 6 in turnover margin. In contrast, Clemson hit on just 7 of their 20 long range attempts for 35% and had 13 turnovers.
Dorman product PJ Hall had a team high 18 for the Tigers, Chase Hunter and Seneca alum Brevin Galloway were in double figures with 15 and 10, respectively.
Caleb Love had a game high 23 to lead three Tar Heel players in double figures. Armando Bacot had a double-double of 19 points and 11 boards, RJ Davis added 17.
Clemson is now 18-7 overall and 10-4 in the ACC, that puts them in a tie for 2nd place. Clemson has won just once in program history in Chapel Hill. They now turn their focus on trying to get a season sweep of Florida State. They host the Seminoles Wednesday night at 7 PM.
