Head coach Brad Brownell and Clemson men’s basketball were led by forward PJ Hall who finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, totaling his second career double-double in a 91-78 loss at Syracuse on Tuesday night at the Carrier Dome.
The Tigers (10-8, 2-5 ACC) were led by Hall’s 19 points and David Collins’ 18. Hall tied his career-high with two steals regardless of an early 21-9 lead in the first ten minutes for head coach Jim Boeheim's team.
Clemson grabbed a tie and a slim two-point lead before the half, but Syracuse never looked back in the final 20 minutes.
"Clemson moves the ball, they're a good team. We did a much better job defending than we have (recently)," Boeheim said postgame. "Hopefully this will get us going in a better direction. This is a good win, against a good team."
Chase Hunter also collected double figures in scoring for the second time this season with 11 points. Guards Al-Amir Dawes and Nick Honor each led the Tigers with five assists.
Clemson returns to the court on Saturday, Jan. 22, for a home game against Pittsburgh, with tipoff slated for 6 p.m. on ACCN.
