Clemson struggles offensively, drops 2nd ACC game

Tuesday night in Chestnut Hill, was perceived by some to be a possible trap game for Clemson Basketball, going in. It turned out to be just that as Clemson fell 62-54 to a Boston College squad that had won just four ACC games prior.

The Tigers scored just 23 1st half points in the loss, they struggled to make shots hitting just 31% overall from the floor and were 6 of 21 from deep. Boston College shot 40% overall from the floor.


Turnovers were again an issue for Clemson, they survived those issues at FSU last weekend. However, were not as fortunate on the road Tuesday night. The Tigers turned it over 17 times on the night and were minus 6 in turnover margin.

Clemson was without guard Brevin Galloway, as he missed his 2nd straight game with an injury. At this time, it's uncertain if he will return to the line up this weekend when the Tigers take on a ranked Miami squad.

Boston College had 4 players n double figures, guard Makai Ashton-Langford led them with 15. Clemson had just two players in double digits. Hunter Tyson had a game high 22 points and Chase Hunter added a dozen.

Clemson now is 10-2 in ACC play they have a half game lead over 2nd place Virginia. The Tigers now set their sights on a pivotal game Saturday when they host the Miami Hurricanes at Littlejohn Coliseum for a 3 PM tipoff.
