A former Clemson standout and NBA champion has passed away. Three time former all ACC and All American selection Elden Campbell has died at the age of 57.
The Inglewood California native was a major contributing factor on Clemson's only ACC Regular Season Title team in 1990.Still today, Campbell is the leading scorer in program history for the Tigers.
He was then drafted in the 1st round by the L.A. Lakers. Campbell spend 9 seasons with his hometown team before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets.
His career spanned 15 seasons and he won the NBA Championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004. His cause of death is currently unknown.
