
Furman fell just short this weekend suffering their 1st home loss in SoCon play. It was a fast start but a slow finish for Furman on Saturday falling to UNC-Greensboro 89-87.
The Paladins scored more than 50 1st half points and had a 4 point halftime lead. Furman scored just 36 2nd half points. A 10-3 Greensboro run gave them their largest lead of the game at 80-70 with 6:30 left.
Furman battled back and tied the game at 87 with under 90 seconds remaining. Greensboro scored to go up two, Furman missed on multiple chances to tie or take the lead in the last 45 seconds.
Marcus Foster and JP Pegues combined for 51 of Furman's 87 points. Keyshaun Langley led UNCG with a game high 30.
