The Memphis Grizzlies have one final preseason game on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. live on 92.9 FM ESPN. They may not need it, but they'll play the Hawks again Saturday. Thursday night (12/17) the Grizzlies coasted to a 128 to 106 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Jonas Valanciunas had a double-double 20 points and 13 points and went 2-of-2 from the 3-point arc. Dillon Brooks displayed his improved shooting going 10 of 15 (FG) and 4 of 8 from the 3-point arc for 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in just 23 minutes. None of the starters played more than 28 minutes.
Atlanta was led by De'Andre Hunter with 22 points. Trae Young was held to just 15 points in 27 minutes.
For the Grizzlies, continuity for most of the starting rotation combined with some fresh faces like Desmond Bane might prove to be a nice recipe for success if the regular season looks like this. Bane played 22 minutes an scored 10-points, had 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
