The NCAA Women's Tournament invades the Upstate this weekend, as the road to the Final 4 runs through Greenville. The city continues to solidify its place a hot bed for Women's Basketball. After hosting the SEC Tournament earlier this month, teams from around the nation will compete this weekend in two regionals at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
Action from Region 2 will tip off Friday as 9 seed Miami takes on the 4 seed Villanova. Then, third seeded LSU takes on #2 Utah at 5 PM. On Saturday Region 1 takes center stage with #3 Notre Dame taking on 2 seed Maryland. The defending National Champs, South Carolina is the #1 overall seed in the tournament , they'll take on 4 seed UCLA at 2 PM.
The winners of Friday's games meet on Sunday in the Regional Finals. The winners of Saturday's games meet Sunday with a spot in the Final 4 on the line, as well.
South Carolina is undefeated and is looking to become just the 5th program all-time to run the table and win the National Title.
