Run game and defense propel Furman to win over Citadel

Furman's productive run game and strong defense helped them lead wire to wire in a win over an in-state and conference rival. Furman downed Citadel 28-14 at Paladin Stadium Saturday.

The Paladins led 14-0 at the half and 28-6 after three quarters. The Paladins owned the run game outgaining Citadel 199-37 on the ground. Furman's defense forced three turnovers, two of them were interceptions by Paladin DB's.

Furman QB Tyler Huff was 19 of 24 passing for 146 yards, two TD's and a pick. He also ran for 9 carries for 94 yards. RB Dominic Roberto ran for 77 yards and a score on 18 carries.
