The Atlanta Braves starting rotation is set to bring back a familiar face for Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Braves have recalled RHP Michael Soroka from Gwinnett, and he's set to start tonight at Truist Park. This will be Soroka's first start for the Braves since July 21 against the Brewers. In that outing, he gave up four earned runs in 6 innings.
His last month in Gwinnett has been impressive. In his last five starts for the Stripers, he's recorded 34 strikeouts in 26 innings. Over 17 Triple-A starts this season, he has a 3.41 ERA.
This is Soroka's first full season back after missing the majority of the last two with a variety of injuries. He's started five games for the Braves this season, going 2-1 with a 5.52 ERA.
