A bill in the state house would drastically change the landscape of high school sports in the Palmetto State, if passed.
The house bill calls for the South Carolina High School league to be absolved and replaced with a new state led association. The State Legislature would then appoint a governing committee .
The bill could be fast tracked as part of the state budget. The bill is being sponsored by about two dozen State Representatives.
