The biggest all-star game in high school football across the Carolinas has announced the rosters for this year's installment. The selections for team South Carolina for this year's Shrine Bowl of The Carolinas, was released either this week. A number of Upstate players and coaches have been named to the team.
They include Spartanburg High RB Trenton Lynch. He's a 3 star prospect who committed to Rutgers over Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Maryland and others. Westside's Tajeh Watson-Martin and Powdersville's Xavier Huggins will see time at WR. Gaffney standout Offensive Teackle C.J. Brooks will man the trenches. He's committed to UAB over offers from East Carolina, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.
On the other side of the ball, Dorman star James Porter will be featured on the D-Line. He holds offers from Georgia Southern, East Carolina, Liberty, Furman and more. His teammate Antwone Tarrance and Powdersville's Jayden Wert will man the Linebacker corp along with Gaffney's Kendaris Bailey. "P-Nut" as they call him at Gaffney is committed to North Carolina Central over offers from Syracuse, East Carolina, App State and South Florida. Daniel DB and Clemson commit Christian Chancellor son of Former Tiger DB Chris Chancellor, will see time in the secondary.
Dorman's Jason Farmer, longtime Powdersville Head Coach Robert Mustar and Woodmont's Andy Hallman have all been named Assistant Coaches.
Team South Carolina will tangle with the best from the Tar Heel State, in the 90th edition of the Shrine Bowl at Spartanburg High School, December 19th.
