A nationwide crackdown on sexual predators preying on children has netted 5 such arrests, here in the Upstate. The Greenville Police Department has partnered with SLED's Human Trafficking Unit to crackdown on operations that are sex trafficking minors.
It's part of a larger nationwide effort called Operation Coast To Coast that has resulted in over 120 arrests and identified nearly 80 victims thus far.
Here in Greenville police have arrested five people they say are involved in the sex trafficking of minor victims. They are all charged with, human trafficking third degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and participating in prostitution of a minor.
