C-Mac: 'Honeymoon' is over with Joe Schoen, time to start expecting winning from Giants
As the Giants finalize their draft board ahead of round one on Thursday night, C-Mac says it is time for Joe Schoen to assert himself and get Big Blue on the winning track in year three.
“We are past the honeymoon phase of just no longer having David Gettleman,” C-Mac said. “‘Look what he did in Buffalo!’ ‘Oh, he’s in salary cap hell! We have to be patient and willing to accept that it’s gonna take some time!’ well now it’s been time. It’s year three in a league where we’ve seen teams go from worst to first.
“This is a very important draft for this regime and Joe Schoen. Now you can put aside all the stuff that goes with Gettleman and the money he spent.”
Schoen had plenty of hurdles to clear after taking over for Gettleman, but now, those excuses are out in the window, and it’s time for the GM to start delivering, and it begins with Thursday’s draft.
“It’s time to start actually feeling confident about the Giants, and it’s time to expect some winning with the Giants,” C-Mac said. “This is a big draft for him.”
