The Mets have quickly erased their 0-5 start and are above .500 for the first time this season after winning their ninth game in their last 12 on Tuesday night.
C-Mac says the Mets and first-year manager Carlos Mendoza benefited from a mindset that Mendoza learned from Aaron Boone when he was Boone's bench coach with the Yankees.
"Mendoza just came in with 'Hey, we're a damn good baseball team, and we'll be fine,'" C-Mac said. "It's exactly what this team needed. His connection to the Yankees and his ability to say 'I've been there, we've gotten off to rough starts, and we always finished where we thought we could finish.'"
