BT goes scorched earth on Gleyber Torres after nightmare game in Subway Series opener
BT took to X on Tuesday night to assure fans that Gleyber Torres would not escape criticism and be overshadowed by the Knicks blockbuster trade, and he delivered on his promise to start Wednesday’s show.
BT ripped the Yankees second baseman after he struck out with the bases loaded, let a key ground ball scoot under his glove, and didn’t run out a slow ground ball, all in a night’s work in Tuesday’s Subway Series loss.
“This is Aaron Boone’s fault,” BT said. “The Yankees have allowed this to fester and build up forever.
“Don’t tell me Gleyber Torres has a bad groin. If you can’t run out a five-hopper in the eighth inning, then you shouldn’t be out there. Period. All he does is emit and project this indifference to a sport we all love, and it’s offensive.”
BT has long called for the Yankees to trade Torres, and he says it better happen before the trade deadline so the Yanks can have a more winning mindset in the clubhouse.
“He is lost. He is broken,” BT said. “He is physically nowhere near what he was.”
