C-Mac gushing over how Giancarlo Stanton has looked at the plate
Giancarlo Stanton had another strong night at the plate on Tuesday, getting robbed at the wall and ripping an RBI double in a 3-2 victory over the Marlins.
After a dreadful start, Stanton has upped his slugging percentage to .550 on the year, second only to Anthony Volpe on the team.
C-Mac, who said before the year that he would be rooting for Stanton harder than any Yankee in his lifetime in 2024, loves what he is seeing.
“I can’t stop watching Giancarlo Stanton,” C-Mac said.
“He comes through with the base hit down the right field line. He’s not just looking to hit home runs right now. He looks like a hitter over the last 3-4 games. Not just a masher.”
C-Mac believes that Stanton turning back the clock could change the dynamic of the Yankee lineup in unprecedented fashion, and if he keeps figuring things out at the plate, the Yankees will be even scarier.
“He looks like he’s having good at-bats, taking those sliders in the dirt,” C-Mac said. “He’s pulling those high-velocity fastballs…right now, Giancarlo Stanton looks back.”
