This is great for dessert or breakfast and perfect for Fall! I baked this in my smoker with apple wood pellets, but you can also bake it your oven.
Ingredients:
12 slices cooked bacon, chopped
2 cans Pillsbury Homestyle canned biscuits
1 can fried apples (You can also use fresh apples if you like.)
1 cup maple syrup
1 cup brown sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 Cup water
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat your oven or smoker to 350 degrees.
Grease a Bundt pan with Pam cooking spray.
Cook your bacon and chop each slice into small chunks.
Remove the fried apples from the can and dice into small chunks. Spread the apple chunks evenly around the bottom of the greased Bundt pan.
Remove biscuits from the can and cut each biscuit into 4 equal pieces. Peel each piece in half. Place in a large bowl. Set aside.
Combine maple syrup, brown sugar, butter and water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat and let simmer for 1 minute. Stir in cinnamon.
Add crumbled bacon and syrup mixture to biscuit quarters and mix to coat.
Pour into greased bundt pan and spread evenly in the dish.
Place Bundt pan in your oven or smoker for 35 minutes or until biscuits are cooked through.
Remove from the oven or smoker and invert the pan onto a platter or dinner plate and enjoy!
