DFW’s transportation service, DART, has seen quite a few changes since the start of 2022. With new maps being implemented, many have been forced to change how they make their daily commute. Luckily, DART has offered a number of programs to help riders get to their destination amidst the changes, and now are extending one of those programs for the rest of the year.
DART recently kickstarted the ‘GoPass’ Discount program to ensure riders had access to their day-to-day tasks such as work, doctors’ appointments, and education opportunities all at an affordable cost. Now, they have announced the program will be extended through December 31, 2022. The program gives customers on assistance programs a 50% discount on the regular price of a DART pass.

According to NBC DFW, the services attached to the program include; CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program), TANF (Texas Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), CEAP (Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program), SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), Housing Choice Vouchers, DHA Housing Solutions for North Texas program, Medicaid, Medicare and Texas WIC (Texas Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children). Hopefully this helps make traveling throughout DFW even easier.
