Gordon Ramsay has yelled at many chefs throughout his career, but tonight the celebrity chef may learn why no one should ever mess with Texas. DFW chef Tiffany Derry is set to appear on Ramsay’s cooking show, ‘MasterChef.’ Derry will be the guest chef, helping Ramsay select which chef makes the best dish.

On Wednesday night’s episode of MasterChef, North Texan Tiffany Derry will be tasked with judging 16 chefs as they compete for a chance to win a spot at one of chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants. Derry, known for her Farmers Branch restaurant Roots Southern Table, was selected for her Southern fusion cooking style. According to Dallas Morning News, Derry and Ramsay get the competition going by showing contestants their dish, jerk spiced fish and chips with a side of double-fried fries.

“Watching these two legends cook right now is like watching a ballet duet: It’s just harmony. They make fusion look easy,” said one contestant. While Derry has appeared on other cooking shows in the past, this will be her first MasterChef appearance. Hopefully she gets out of there without getting yelled at by Ramsay.
