Many were hoping 2021 would bring better luck than 2020 did, but so far the new year is not off to a great start. Yet another DFW favorite has announced they will shut their doors for good. Taco Diner will close two locations, in Irving and Fort Worth, after not renewing their lease for the new year.
Taco Diner, which is owned by the M Crowd Restaurant Group that’s also behind Mi Cocina still, has two locations open in Dallas’ West Village and in Lake Highlands. However, the its Las Colinas location in Irving, and the Fort Worth restaurant in Sundance Square will no longer be serving contemporary Mexico City-style street food to the metroplex.
The announcement was made on Taco Diner’s Facebook page. Many fans were disappointed, but luckily there is still tow more locations to get their favorite menu items. Hopefully there won’t be any more restaurant closure news for a while.
