It has been a few weeks now since the ‘Barbie’ movie premiered, but the craze surrounding the iconic doll is yet to die down. Already plenty of examples of Barbie-fever have been shown throughout DFW, with pop up events and pink outfits all over the metroplex. Now, Barbie World has taken over a Fort Worth hospital as well, as Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital recently shared photos of the Barbie-themed photoshoot the held for their NICU babies.
Last week, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Southwest Fort Worth brought some “Kenergy” to the NICU, taking photos of the babies in Barbie style box cutouts. “Having a baby in the NICU is not easy, but activities like these give us the opportunity to bond with these families and help them make their hospital stay just a bit brighter,” said Kathryn Callahan, NICU nurse at Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth.
According to NBC DFW, the boys were pictured as Kens and the girls as Barbies with bows on. In one photo, a pair of twin boys were bundled up next to each other as twin Kens. Now, the metroplex will just have to wait and see if a baby ‘Oppenheimer’ photoshoot will be next.
