Summer is here, and for many parents that means trying to find daily activities to keep their children busy. Luckily, DFW is full of kid-friendly options that can be pretty entertaining for adults as well. One of those is the Fort Worth Zoo, which was recently named one of the best zoos in the entire country.
The Fort Worth Zoo has received many accolades over the years, and recently received one more courtesy of U.S. News & World Report. The website, known for their rankings of different subjects, recently unveiled their list of the best zoos in America. According to KXAN, only two Texas zoos made the list, including the Fort Worth Zoo.
The other Texas zoo to make the cut was the Houston Zoo. To come up with the complete list, the report did “extensive research” into each zoo’s education, conservation and global outreach efforts. Thanks to this report, the Fort Worth Zoo is once again getting the credit it deserves.
