It seems construction has been going on for I-635 in North Texas for years, as lane closures have become a regular occurrence on the highway that stretches across the metroplex. Now, TxDOT has announced more closures are on the way this week that will affect parts of Mesquite, Garland and Dallas.
The work will take place both at night and during the day, but luckily they shared their work schedule, so drivers know when they should avoid the highway this week.

The latest stretch of construction on 635 started on Monday, and is expected to run throughout the week, but luckily most of the work will be done at night. In Dallas, drivers can expect closures for Westbound I-635 at Royal Lane/Miller Road, Eastbound and westbound I-635 between Greenville Avenue and Royal Lane/Miller Road and Eastbound I-635 between Skillman Street and Royal Lane/Miller Road throughout the week.

For Mesquite, their night time construction will take place at Northbound and southbound I-635 between Town East Boulevard and La Prada Drive and Eastbound I-30 between Gus Thomasson Road and Northwest Drive. Sadly for Garland drivers, they will have a complete stretch of highway closed at westbound I-635 frontage road at Northwest Highway, according to Dallas Morning News.
