Meeting one’s heroes is always exciting, especially when it’s due to their own accomplishments. 11-year-old drumming sensation Nandi Bushell has been able to experience that a few times now thanks to her incredible skills.
The drummer has already performed with a number of greats, and now can add another to the list; Queen’s Roger Taylor.
Bushell shared a new video to her YouTube page recently where she performs in a drum off with Queen’s Roger Taylor. At first, the two trade turns showing off their skills, but Taylor eventually declares, “I am done! I give up,” before the two break into a rendition of ‘We Are the Champions.’ “Playing Mr. Taylor in that advert got me hooked on Queen. Ever since then I have loved Queen and Mr. Taylor’s playing. So to actually get to play with Mr. Taylor, just, wow!” said Bushell.
According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Bushell’s latest video has been viewed over 18,000 times. Like many other legends, clearly Taylor was impressed with Bushell’s drumming abilities. Now, fans will have to wait and see what legend jams with Bushell next.
