Anyone who lived through the 80’s likely has a few clothing choices they now regret. Still, many styles and designs from the decade have become iconic, and now a new art exhibit in DFW is celebrating all the looks from the 80’s. ‘She’s got the Look’ is an art exhibit currently located at the Galleria Mall in Dallas, honoring the neon filled era.
The DFW art exhibit features 50 fashions by some of that decade's most memorable designers, including; Thierry Mugler, Oscar de la Renta, Yves Saint Laurent, Bob Mackie, Emanuel Ungaro, Halston, and Geoffrey Beene. Curated by Ken Weber, owner of Martini Consignment, the exhibit is set to run from March 5 to April 3, according to Dallas Culture Map. Everything is split into two rooms; one featuring elegance and extravagance and the other showing the looks of "Valley Girls," "Rocker Chicks," "Club Kids," and menswear.
‘She Got the Look’ will also feature a local exhibit on Toni & Guy and its history in Dallas. “In the ’80s, hair was definitely an accessory of its own," says Toni & Guy marketing director Richard Rivas. For any fan of the 80’s this art exhibit will definitely be a blast form the past.
