When it comes to alcohol, many Texans prefer to keep things local. Whether its Tito’s Vodka, Shiner Beer or any other Texas brand, loyalty is seen in refrigerators and bars throughout the Lone Star state. However, a new study has revealed a different type of spirit as the top choice for Texas, claiming Tequila is the state’s favorite liquor.
Upgraded Points recently conducted a study to find each state’s preferred type of liquor. Using Google Trends data from last year, the study was able to find the top choice in each state, and for Texas it was all about tequila. Not too many were shocked by this, however the rest of country was much different.
According to CW33, whiskey was the top choice in the majority of states with 18, followed by vodka with 15. As for Texas, the love of tequila goes back years and is a trend that doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon. As long as there is tequila at the party, most Texans will be happy.
