The end of pool season is a sad time in Texas, but luckily for those that don’t feel like putting the bathing suits away as the temperatures drop, a new indoor water park is coming to town to make summertime fun year-round. It was recently announced that a new hotel resort with an indoor water park is opening in Grapevine, just miles away from DFW’s other water park hotel resort, Great Wolf Lodge.

Stand Rock Hospitality has been working on their massive hotel and water park resort in Grapevine since 2016, and now six years later the project has finally been approved. Now, construction is expected to begin this year, with an opening date expected in the Spring of 2025. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, the project will feature a 2 acre outdoor water park and a 95,000 square foot indoor water park, to go with a 12 story resort that has 400 hotel rooms and 166 timeshare units.

Developers estimate the project will cost $300 million. Once completed, the hotel will be the second largest development in Grapevine, behind the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. Soon, pool season will be all year in DFW thanks to this new resort.
