In just about every city around America there are signs in public that read “no skateboarding.” Despite the sport often being performed on streets, sidewalks and railings, skateboarders are often told to leave these areas during the activity. Luckily for skateboarders in DFW, plans for the first ever public skateboard park in Dallas were recently unveiled.
On Thursday, the first renderings of the skate park planned for Bachman Park in Dallas were shown to the public. According to WFAA, construction is set to begin next year, though no opening date has been announced at this time. The park will be 45,600 square feet and feature numerous different sections for skaters of all levels.

"We designed the area to be really long so it captures a lot of tricks that can be performed back-to-back," said Team Pain Skateparks President Tim Payne. The park will include a street area, a plaza, a bowl, a flow bowl and a snake run. Soon, DFW will be a skateboarder’s paradise.
