Every year when Girl Scout cookie season comes around, many people’s diets seem to disappear. While plenty claim this year will be the year they stop buying boxes of cookies, one box almost always turns into multiple being stored away. Now, police in Cincinnati have turned to social media to warn about these highly addictive cookies.
The Cincinnati Police Department posted on Facebook this week calling out the dangers of eating too many Girl Scout cookies. “These items are distributed by strong, smart, fearless young women who will lure you in with their story and get you hooked. We know many people think they will only order one box, but one box always turns into two, and two turns into five and the next thing you know you are hiding “Thin Mints” in the freezer,” said their post.
Of course, the police said they’d be willing to help get rid of these cookies for anyone in need, no questions asked. According to WLWT, a local Girl Scout dropped off more than 100 boxes for the police department on Monday. Hopefully they get rid of the cookies properly.
