Sitting in traffic for long periods of time is enough to ruin anyone’s day. Sadly with more and more people moving to North Texas in recent years, it seems traffic has become worse than ever before. Now, a new report has revealed the most congested roadways in all of Texas, and plenty DFW roads made the list.
Texas A&M Transportation Institute recently unveiled their list of the most congested roadways in all of Texas. According to NBC DFW, their research included measuring how much longer it takes for motorists to travel on a gridlocked road than to make the same trip in uncongested conditions. Based on the data, Woodall Rodgers Freeway from US Highway 75 to North Beckley Ave was ranked the second most congested roadway in Texas.
Other roadways in DFW making the list were North Fwy from SH 183 to IH 30, IH 345 from US 75 to S. M. Wright Fwy, US 75 from Lyndon B. Johnson Fwy to US 75 Woodall Rodgers Fwy and more. Overall the most congested road was Houston’s IH 610 West between IH 10/US 90 and IH 69/US 59. At least now DFW drivers know which roads to avoid.
