Even with a number of bands reuniting in the last few years; fans still want more, constantly asking for their favorite bands to hit the road one more time. One of those bands that fans are desperate to see reunite is The Police. However, according to Sting that is unlikely to happen, as he recently said he regrets taking part in the band’s last reunion tour.

The Police went on the road back in 2007 and 2008 with the full lineup; Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. While the tour was a huge success, becoming one of the highest-grossing tours of the time, Sting recently said the tour led to a number of regrets. “At the time I labelled the tour an exercise in nostalgia. That was simply how I felt and is still how I feel today. I think it’s OK to be honest about your feelings and that was the way it went for me,” sad Sting.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Sting continued claiming he preferred working as a solo artist. “If I thought that would be the emotion I’d be leaving with, I wouldn’t have done it in the first place,” said Sting. Maybe one day, those feelings will change and there will be one more Police tour.
