In recent years, a style trend has emerged of kids wearing shirts featuring bands or musicians from the past. While it is common for children to enjoy the music their parents listen to while they are still young, in most cases these kids have no knowledge of the artist they are wearing on their clothes, and instead just like the shirt because of the look. That’s why one teacher decided to give her students the ultimate test, asking them to name one song by the artist or band featured on their shirt.
Earlier this week a teacher named “Coach Jones” went viral after she took to the hallways of her school to ask students to name a song form the artist or band on their shirt. Some of the bands featured include AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Def Leppard, Nirvana and more. There were even some more modern artists such as H.E.R, yet the majority of students still failed the test.
While most of the students froze or admitted they couldn’t name a song by the artist, students wearing a Tupac and Nirvana shirt were able to successfully answer the question. Of course, many online were stunned at the lack of music knowledge from these kids. Maybe this will inspire them to look up some of these bands and artists.
