Just what is going on with our Texas waters this year?
First, manatees were spotted swimming off the coast of Corpus Christi, and now a man has gone viral after he was fishing in the Guadalupe River over the weekend when he reeled in a bull shark!
According to MySA.com, TikTok user Jonathanguayo5 encountered the shark on Saturday May 4. Video of the catch, which has gone viral, shows the shark thrashing in the water before finally being reeled in.

While the video doesn't list exactly where the shark was caught, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says bull sharks are common off the Texas coast and can live in fresh and salt water, and it is not uncommon for them to swim upriver from the Gulf.
