DFW may not be known to the world for their cuisine, but come November that will likely change. Back in 2019, the World Food Championships made their way to the metroplex, and now two years later the “Olympics of food” is set to return. The World Food Championships will be a three day event featuring over 1,500 chefs, as plenty of eaters will make their way to the Lone Star state in November with rumbling bellies.

Taking place at Fair Park from November 5-7, the World Food Championships will feature a number of competitions and plenty of food samples for spectators. While guests will have a number of activities during the three day event to keep them entertained, those in competition will be all business, as a $10,000 prize and a chance to appear on well-known food shows is on the line. According to Dallas Observer, some of the competitions this year will include; the Beefer Challenge, the Fire Woman event, the Biscuits & Jampionships and more.

For those looking to enter the competition, sadly most of the slots have been filled. However, one more qualifying event for the WFC Bacon Championships is coming to Dallas in September. For DFW foodies, this truly is a dream event.
