As a number of musicians return to live shows for the first time in over a year, some fans may not be ready for all the musical surprises in store for this summer. The first of many occurred earlier this week, as Vince Neil hit the stage with Sammy Hagar and his band, The Circle, during their recent show. The two performed a cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Rock and Roll’, and the fans loved it.

The Circle performed live in Florida on Wednesday, and fans in attendance were definitely surprised when the band was joined by Motley Crue frontman, Vince Neil. As seen in the clip, Neil takes over singing duties for their Led Zeppelin cover, with Hagar joining in with harmonies and occasionally jumping in on lead. The song gave the entire band an opportunity to shine, as the video also includes bass, guitar and drum solos for Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson and Jason Bonham.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, this is not the first time Hagar and Neil have performed together. The two previously performed three Motley Crue songs, ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ ‘Wild Side’ and ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ during a show in 2018. Hopefully this kicks off a summer full of live cover songs.
