A group of pro wrestlers are set to come together in North Georgia this weekend to help the family of one of their own, as they clash against cancer. From the territory days to the modern day independent promotions the Carolinas and Georgia has been a hotbed of professional wrestling for decades.
Cornelia the small Habersham County town is certainly no exception. Saturday the town plays host to a wrestling card with the proceeds going the single mom of a pro wrestler from North Georgia who is battling cancer. Regina Oglesby is a single mother of three who is fighting Stage 4 Colon Cancer. The event will be held at 205 Commerce Parkway in Cornelia, on Saturday. Doors will open at 5PM, with matches starting at 6PM.
The card will feature a bragging rights battle royal, an open challenge, tag team action, singles matches and more. Talent from North GA and Upstate SC will be featured up and down the card. Many of those guys are known names to those who follow the independent scene in Georgia.
(Card Subject To Change) Scheduled to appear- Tower, a 7 foot monster who resides in the Upstate, "The Southern Superheavyweight" Big Bad Brando, "War Machine" Jon Hogan, Bobby D, Cade Powers, The Reverend Pete Zimmerman and more.
