Georgia Senators continue to make an impact on Capitol Hill

Watch: Warnock commemorates 2nd anniversary of March 16 Atlanta spa shootings

Standing on the floor of the U.S. Senate Wednesday to commemorate the two year anniversary of the March 16th Atlanta spa shootings, Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock appears to have settled back in comfortably. He's back in Washington after a very close re-election.

Warnock and Georgia's senior U.S. senator Jon Ossoff are back on Capitol Hill working on legislation that's "impactful for the nation as a whole" according to political analyst Tharon Johnson. "Voting Rights, high drug costs, introducing new standards to the agricultural farm bill" are just some of the issues being addressed by Warnock.

Johnson, founder and CEO of Paramount Consulting Group, notes that Ossoff is putting his energies on focusing on bad practices in federal penitentiaries, issues in the foster care system, along with environmental concerns.

Congress is focused too, Johnson says, on looking into "anti-competitive" practices in the concert ticket market. "This is a very serious issue in Washington" says Johnson, noting recent occurrences involving Ticketmaster. "The U.S. Justice Department and plenty of U.S. Senators are watching to make sure consumers have protection and also deal with their tickets in a fair manner."
