Falcons using short-term contracts to identify core players

The Atlanta Falcons have signed several players to short-term contracts—mostly one- and two-year deals. According to 92.9 The Game Falcons reporter Joe Patrick, the strategy allows the team to emphasize its core players while avoiding long-term commitments to underperforming ones.
