When fast food menu items from other countries goes viral in the United States, more often than not it’s because the combination of flavors is something that would never make it to a menu in America. However, the latest odd fast food option to go viral has many intrigued not for its taste, but for what the burger promises to do. Burger King in Japan recently unveiled a new Whopper that claims to ward off evil spirits.

The new Spicy Yakuyoke Whopper was introduced in a video shared on Burger King Japan’s YouTube page. The burger includes spicy garlic flakes and a special spicy sauce, but the main selling point was the promise that it may "get rid of evil.” The burger is named after a Japanese tradition where people visit a temple or shrine around the New Year and pick up a yakuyoke amulet to ward off evil.

In the viral commercial, a group of employees bring the new burger to a temple in in Chofu City, Tokyo to be blessed. This is one foreign menu item many wouldn’t mind making its way to the United States.
