The 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s iconic ‘Nevermind’ album was last week, and plenty of fans turned to social media to share their tributes to the band. While most fans either shared their thoughts on the album, or attempted a cover version of one of their songs, one fan decided to do something a little different to honor the special anniversary. A cyclist from Australia decided to recreate the ‘Nevermind’ album cover using his bicycle route on a GPS tracking app.
Australian cyclist and National Parks manager, Pete Stokes, has gone viral in the past for his GPS tracked artwork, but none have impressed the internet quite like the one he did recently for Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind.’ In the photo, Stokes recreates the image of the naked baby in a pool chasing after a dollar bill on top of the map. To create the image, Stokes had to go on a 150k bike ride that took eight hours to complete.

“When this album came out I was in high school – I was about 14, and that’s when you’re forming your love of music,” said Stokes. According to Loudwire, Stokes has also created GPS artwork for Pink Floyd and Beethoven. Now, the cyclist can show off both his athletic and artistic sides.
