Over the last few years, drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell has taken over the internet, showing off her drumming skills with some incredible covers of classic songs, and sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in music. However, the internet may have a new favorite drummer, and while age is still playing a role in viewers’ amazement with the musician, it’s not her youth that has jaws dropping. Grandmother Dorothea Taylor recently shared a Blink-182 cover online, challenging Travis Barker to a drum off in the viral video.

Dorothea Taylor is a drum instructor who has been playing the instrument for 58 years. Which is why sharing a cover of Blink-182’s ‘What’s My Age Again,’ was the perfect song to help her go viral. “You probably never would have expected someone like me to play along to Blink. I’ve learned my rudiments over the years and was able to incorporate and understand what Travis was playing. So, Travis Barker, are you watching? How about a drum battle?!” said Taylor at the end of her video.

According to NME, Taylor is known online as the “Godmother of Drumming,” and has gone viral for her drumming videos on the past. Sadly, Barker is yet to respond to the challenge. Maybe he knows he has nothing on the drumming grandmother.
