For years, DFW was left jealous of the rest of the Lone Star state as they got the do their grocery shopping at the beloved Texas-based H-E-B. However, after years of avoiding the metroplex H-E-B is finally making the move north, and the takeover is happening faster than anyone expected. Now, H-E-B has announced yet another DFW location, this time opening up in Forney.
When H-E-B first announced plans to expand to North Texas, no one could have imagined how quickly stores would start to go up. H-E-B is already operating in Weatherford, Burleson, Cleburne and Waxahachie, with stores being built in McKinney, Frisco and Plano as well. Now, Forney can be added to the list, as the grocery store recently announced plans to begin building a new location near Farm Roads 548 and 1641.

According to WFAA, even more H-E-B stores could be popping up in the metroplex, as the company has purchased several parcels of land in Tarrant County, from Mansfield to far north Fort Worth. Of course, some of those could end up being Central Market locations as well. As the takeover continues, soon all of North Texas will be one massive H-E-B.
