Actor Jason Sudeikis has gained many new fans over the last year thanks to his popular new series ‘Ted Lasso.’ Now, Sudeikis has found a way to get even more people on board with the show. The actor recently revealed that the show’s second season was inspired by the Foo Fighters song ‘My Hero.’
Not many expected a show revolving around the world of soccer could have been inspired by Foo Fighters, but according to Jason Sudeikis; that’s exactly what happened. Speaking to Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, the actor revealed it was the song ‘My Hero,’ that helped create many of the themes for the show’s second season. “Just the idea of false prophets or don’t meet your heroes. Or the idea of like all statues have clay feet, I think is another example of that. People are human, you know, people are human,” said Sudeikis.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sudeikis attempted to research what the song was about, but instead kept his own interpretation. Many fans were excited to see for themselves how Foo Fighters inspired the show’s second season. Maybe another classic song will be used for the third season.
