It seems there is a national day for just about anything that can be thought of, but at least it gives people a reason to celebrate every day of the year. March 14th is National Pi Day, and while normally the day is celebrated by math enthusiasts, Klyde Warren Park and the Perot Museum are giving all of DFW a reason to celebrate. The two Dallas institutions recently announced they have teamed up for a Pi Day celebration they are calling, “Perot at the park.”
Both the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and Klyde Warren Park are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, which is why they decided to come together to throw a DFW event, and there’s no better way to celebrate than National Pie Day. The “Perot at the Park” event will feature activities ranging from 3D printing, building and designing derby cars with LEGOs to exploring the concept of Pi at the museums TECH truck. All activities will be STEM-themed that will engage and inspire kids during Spring Break.

Of course, for those not looking to learn on Pi Day, there will also be food trucks offering free pizza and snow cones, according to NBC DFW. The event will kick off today at 10 A.M., on national Pi Day, but activities will be held at the park all week. Maybe one day everyone will be celebrating National Pi Day.
