When former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge left the group to chase aliens, many thought the move was crazy. However, after helping to get classified information about UFOs released, no one is doubting the musician in his next venture. Now, DeLonge will move into the movie industry, recently sharing details about his upcoming directorial debut.

Tom DeLonge is credited as the director and writer for the upcoming film, ‘Monsters Of California.’ While not many details about the film have been shared, DeLonge claims it will be a “coming of age film with dick jokes.” According to NME, ‘Monsters Of California’ is expected to debut September 24.

“When I started Angels [& Airwaves], I was telling people how we were going to put out books and make movies. Everyone said ‘you’re high, you’re crazy and you’re chasing aliens!’ but I’m just doing the stuff I said I was going to do,” said DeLonge. While some fans still hope DeLonge one day returns to Blink-182, plenty are still excited to see what he has coming next.
