There are plenty of distractions on the road drivers need to look out for. Looking away from the road even for a brief second can lead to an accident. That’s why TxDOT has decided to give “human billboards” a try as part of their initiative encouraging drivers to watch out for pedestrians on the roads.

TxDOT recently announced they will release their new human billboards onto the streets of DFW this week. The billboards will feature humans wearing highly visible sandwich boards with display messages reminding Texans and pedestrians to follow the rules of the road and to watch out for each other. According to CW33, these human billboards can be seen today on McKinney Ave. at Fitzhugh Ave. in Dallas from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.

The billboards will also be in the Greenville Area of Dallas from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Wednesday. They will then travel to Fort Worth on Thursday to warn drivers at Sundance Square Plaza from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. and West 7th Street from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. Hopefully these human billboards work and aren’t another distraction on the road.
