In a recent Valentine’s Day Edition of Good Vibes with Ms. Eclectic, host DJ Ms. Eclectic , sat down with Celebrity Chef, Chef Baul and his beautiful wife Ivy as they talked, love, culture and food and how their heritage reflects on their restaurant brands with elements deeply rooted in Black Culture.
Atlanta’s culinary scene is set to welcome a vibrant new addition as Chef Baul, renowned for his work with artists like Lil Baby and Migos, prepares to open Betty Sue’s. This highly anticipated brunch spot will officially open its doors on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 12 p.m., located at 20 Broad St. NW in the Five Points Plaza, right next to his existing beloved eatery, Binky’s.
Named in honor of his grandmother, Betty Sue, who inspired his passion for cooking, the restaurant aims to offer “traditional Southern breakfast recipes with a twist.” The menu features dishes like chicken and waffles, French toast, Beautifully fried Catfish, and oxtails and shrimp with grits—many inspired by the meals his grandmother prepared during his childhood.
Betty Sue’s also holds significance as it opens during Black History Month and National Hot Breakfast Month, aligning with Chef Baul’s mission to honor his heritage while offering delicious breakfast options. This is more than just a restaurant; it’s a tribute to the legacy of Black culinary traditions and a testament to the resilience and creativity of our community.
